The fees for entering Tmall Mall mainly include three categories, namely deposit, annual technical service fee and real-time deduction of technical service fee (commission).
1) Margin
cost:
1. Brand flagship store: the applied brand is a registered (R) trademark, and the benchmark deposit is 50,000 RMB; if the applied brand is a temporarily unregistered (TM) trademark, the deposit is 100,000 RMB;
2. Store flagship store/industry store flagship store: the benchmark deposit is RMB 150,000;
3. Franchised stores: the benchmark deposit for household and personal care industries is RMB 50,000, and the benchmark deposit for other industries is RMB 100,000;
4. Brand store: the benchmark margin is the same as the brand flagship store;
5. Galaxy franchise store: The benchmark deposit is RMB 50,000;
6. Individual categories are as high as 800,000 (Bird’s Nest Tonic – Instant Bird’s Nest)
Tmall Global must pay a security deposit. The security deposit is mainly used to ensure that merchants operate in accordance with Tmall Global’s specifications, and when merchants violate the regulations, they will be used to report to Tmall Global and relevant regulations in accordance with the “Tmall Global Merchant Service Agreement” and relevant rules. Consumers pay liquidated damages.

2) Annual fee for technical services:
Cost: It is divided into 30,000 and 60,000 RMB.
Merchants operating on Tmall Global must pay an annual fee. The amount of the annual fee is based on the first-level category. For the specific annual fee standard, please refer to the “Tmall Global 2021 Annual List of Technical Service Fees for Various Items”.
3) Real-time deduction of technical service fees (commissions)
Fees: Generally concentrated in 2% and 5%. Generally, the distribution varies from 0.5% to 5% according to the category difference.
Merchants operating on Tmall Global need to pay technical service fees based on a certain percentage of their sales (referred to as “rates”). Please refer to the “Annual List of Technical Service Fees for Various Projects of Tmall Global in 2021” for the rates of technical service fees for various projects of Tmall Global.
